Subject: BHA: what next


Hi all,

Given that we in NATO member countries are at war, I guess it is only right
that there be discussion of it in all kinds of fora, virtual or otherwise.
At the same time, I think I agree with Rob:  if there is to be prolonged
debate here, I'd be especially interested to hear what people think DCR can
or cannot help us to understand about this situation.  I haven't myself
looked to Bhaskar's work for help with political or moral questions, so I
don't have much to contribute unfortunately.       

Meanwhile, though, I was wondering what people might think of having someone
do the summary of 2.5 in DPF that Gary is currently signed up for.  I'm
assuming that he is still taking care of family responsibilities, and was
thinking that he might not mind having someone else do this section.  Given
the length of the book, it's not as though he won't have plenty of time
later to do all kinds of work for us.

I did a summary of 2.6 back in the fall, when I somehow thought we were up
to it.  That summary is fairly lengthy, and took a while.  I'd be willing,
if no one else is up to doing a full summary, to do something short and
sweet for 2.5 if people think it's a good idea.
