Subject: BHA: Adorno on style

Hi folks!

I'm sorry, but I cannot see that anyone in the current discussion
adresses the *arguments* that Adorno *actually makes*, as set out in my
email, headed 'Gaps', on 17th December in the last millennium. Tobin
confuses thinking with hallucination; Carrol conflates what Kant or
Bhaskar have done or do with what we're doing; and Ruth evades the
arguments, as Colin has in effect pointed out, by seeking to dismiss
them as internally related to a (somewhat) different theoretical
perspective, as though they had no bearing outside that perspective -
while her point about Kant is actually in Adorno's favour (and what is
one to make of her suggestion that Adorno's critique of idealism 'would
extend to RB's critical realism'??).
