Well, what can I say. let me just end this exchange by two comments. First
an exaplanation re my comments about Howard. Howard wroote to me off list,
I now understand to say that he was upset by what her percieved to be my
high-handed tone, hence the references to him. Sorry If I have confused
anyone. Second, I can only be bothered to  let Andy's own words make my
case for me.

As he puts it:

So, in the final analysis, and despite the waste of time getting to the
point, there are objects which are not known. I really have nothing more to
add, nor the desire to pursue the absurd any longer.
