You might be interested in a paper that's just come out in the british
journal of sociology of education (June, 2000) by me.  I don't address
these three directly, but the analytical distinctions I make are derived
from a framework which is based on these three (one has only so much
space to include such things, of course).  I can always send you a copy
if you're interested.  The focus of the paper is laying out some
concepts for analysing knowledge which might bring together soc of
knowledge and epistemology, through integrating the insights of the
approaches of Bourdieu and Bernstein.  I illustrate these with an
analysis of the development of cultural studies.
