As you know the Hegelian trope of the "Beautiful Soul' figured large in 
critiques of FEW at Lancaster.  Could you ask Roy to


a) clarify the Beautiful Soul motif.  His presentation of it is somewhat 
sketchy in DPF.

and

b) say whether he agrees that 'his soul is beautiful'.
