Sebastiano Timpanaro suggested that epistemological questions
do not belong to philosophy but to neurology. Whatever validity
that has or does not have in general, neurology *has* begun to
answer in very specific ways this question. For a striking
illustration, I suggest you see Figure 5-2, p. 104, of Antonio
Damasio, *Descartes' Error: Emotion, Reason, and the Human
Brain*. See also Science News, Sept. 30, 2000, p. 216, "Brains
generate a body of feeling."
