How I agree with Andrew re. FEW.  I tried to read the whole thing, and found
the philosophy much easier to read than the stories... which Roy believes he
has made like a novel... not the sort of novel I enjoy.  Couldn't finish the
'lives', couldn't tell if it was a sort of joke or if Roy really saw his
life as the summit! Found the token female souls a little hard to take.
Nevertheless some good things have come out of this development.

I think thanks to you listers I am finally beginning to understand this
polyvalence business.  I may be quiet (at the moment) but I am reading...
