Subject: BHA: this and that


Hi all,

I just wanted to wish everyone happy holidays.  I hope all are happy and well.  

We're still on strike at York (week 8), but are, in my opinion, going to win
in the end. The members of my union have been incredible.  For weeks now
people have been cooking soup and goodies on our lines (camping gear put to
use! -- and, on my line, the support of the kitchen staff put to use!).  We
put up holiday decorations on the pilons and gates that we use to control
traffic.  (My dad sent me some amazing, quilted long underwear, so I've been
impervious to the cold.)  Etc.  Plus snow is so much nicer than rain.

I hope that I'll be able to get back to list biz in the new year -- maybe we
can breathe some life back into ourselves in the actual new millenium?!
