Well, but interpretations are networks of words or other signs.  And if you
act "based on" them, what does "based on" mean?  Are you not admitting that
signs are causal power -- not the only causal power, sure, but a causal
power nonetheless.  Remember that CR/DCR works with causal criteria for
existence: something is real if and only if it is causal.  If you admit that
ideas and representations are real, they must be causal.
