Of course, you're absolutely right - there are spooks listening at every level. But not everything that is absent is evil, and I think Bhaskar is very wise to suggest that evil is basically parasitic on the good and that we should 'let go and let God' i.e. forget about the spooks, *shed* them, and get on with our lives and flourish (I don't mean 'let God' literally - I'm an agnostic). I agree entirely re Tobin's post, which was also hilariously funny. You've caused me to look at it again, and I can only wish that I'd been quick witted enough to pay tribute to it when tribute was due.
