Subject: Re: BHA: Stop the rush to war


In Columbus, OH, anti-war activists have held several meetings & 
actions (e.g.. handing out leaflets, offering solidarity to local 
Muslims, participating in vigils, etc.) since the bombings, & we'll 
be meeting again tonight, at 9 p.m. at my place.  27 people came to 
the last meeting; hopefully it will be bigger tonight.

I've written the following statement on behalf of the local orgs with 
which I'm affiliated, & I'd like to take the liberty of asking you 
for your endorsement of the joint statement.  I already asked Mervyn 
offlist, & he graciously endorsed it.  I hesitated to post it here, 
as it is a listserv for philosophical discussion, not political 
organizing.  However, as the subject of the impending war has been 
raised by regular posters, I make bold to post it to the Bhaskar 
list: "Build Peace and Justice: Resist Calls for Collective 
Punishment," now available on-line at
