Can any one point me to the sociology, economic rationalism, the philosophy or science behind the up and downs of stock exchanges? I’ve just read that market shares in weapons have gone up somehow and trading is good.

How can this phenomenon be explained in the existing conditions and circumstances, given that this news originates from NY stock exchange?
