I do believe there is an over statement that biology could be misused as it was misused before. I really don't know how this connects to universality , particurality but also on a persons dispositions, propensities etc. By the way, has Bhaskar solved the abstract nature of the psychological (cognitive) - Social (sociological/practical) - biological (adaptive /functional i.e. physiological ) concordance? Take an example of an old observation that there is a relationship between playing music and mathematics! So if one could compose music, that person automatically became a mathematical genius. I do believe there is quite a lot, which still is/was not known in biology as in as well as social being and its environmental effects on the genetic programming/ characteristics, which is still unknown which lead(s) to gross misinterpretation of facts of matter. There is a tendency of mystification of the unknown along religion or nature. The problem is however solved through the securalisation of knowledge and communication which in fact does not allow dependence on one field to explain facts of substance. May be the contradictions in the world itself are (D) critical realism which is a real crisis for the academia which is stack in this one school or the other. What the future holds, I do believe will be a hybrid knowledge between social science, natural sciences. I'm amazed when population biology start investigating species behavior and explain it in better and satisfactory terms than psychologist or sociologist. I remember a kid who has seen my dark skin for the first time, asking why I am dark-skinned, which was actually an unforgettable momentous biological as well as a social event, as I fumble to bring myself to the level where the kid will conceptual grasp what i was then about to explain. How will you act in this situation if you were me?
