Perhaps a social order without master-slave-type relations could be a form 
of anarchy as well as democracy.  I respect Chomsky, who seems to regard 
anarchism as a kind of libertarian socialism.  Yet, even in this kind of 
social order, there will remain a need for collective decisions.  I cannot 
imagine emancipation persisting without democratic decision-making 
processes.  Other ways of making collective decisions, imo, would restore 
master-slave-type relations, perhaps behind a paternalistic or 
maternalistic facade.
