I only know that the CCR decided a few months ago on a day-seminar for November on 'What is materialism?' at which Bhaskar was keen to speak and in which Marxists (presumably metaphysically materialist ones) were to be invited to participate. I have no further details yet, but I'll try and gee the organizers up (if there be any such lurking, please gee up!). Perhaps there's a problem in finding such Marxists to come forward... though judging from Phil's fighting post, which I've only just seen, if there has been a problem it will definitely dematerialize!
