Hey Karl!  Good to hear from you too.  I didn't take your post as a
criticism but I did think I needed to clarify what was in my previous post.
Given the secrecy enveloping the IACR Council and the forcing out of Mervyn
from JCR, it may be some while before we know what cynical career moves were
behind the whole process.  However, I do believe that my previous posts lay
out the broad lines of the split.

criticism ... it was meant (when half asleep) to augment and add to your
