Hi Dick,

At a certain level, I may agree with you.  Still, I think that a lot hangs on what you mean when you say that you take it for granted that we know things.  I guess I want to say something like assuming the fact of conceptualization is different from assuming that all knowledge-claims are a priori justified.  That is, I'd want to say that it's legitimate to ask, not just "How is it that human beings are able to conceptualize their experience?" but "Is it defensible philosophically to assume that all beliefs are true?"  See what I mean?
