Subject: BHA: Is it Mystify or Demystification, Date: Fri, 09 Jan 2004 08:39:29 +0100 Listers! Can science mystify instead of demystificating? When science is misunderstood, misrepresented or misused what can be the social consequences? Why is it that yesterday’s scientific facts are tomorrow’s scientific disasters? How are such problems confronted without using the same science to deepen or mystification of the problem? It appears to me, with the facts which are ruling in the scientific world, social scientist categories as effects of a post modern society; from junk food, dysfunction economic theories and hypothesis, behavioural sciences that has become media talk shows, natural science turning societies in ir/ rational command societies- there is a greater scientifica problem than science claims to have solved in the last few centuries- I might be wrong but if right what is the problem Bwanika _________ bwanika url: www.idr.co.ug Logon & Join in ug-academicsdb discussion list http://www.coollist.com/subcribe.html List ID: ug-academicsdb Your Email address: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ url: http://uhpl.uganda.co.ug http://pub59.ezboa --- from list bhaskar-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
