1) what is an 'intellectual husk'?

2) implicit in my statement was the argument that the omission of anarchist 
movements in Mervyn's definition of movements that practice concrete 
utopianism was one (albeit infinitesimally small) factor that could 
contribute to the retention of domination and hierarachy in the world.

3) if you're only interested in results and things that exist in the 
present, then you are a positivist.  In which case we have to go back to the 
whole argument of realism vs. postivism (which most people on this list have 
already decided upon) - positivism considers what exists and what has 
existed - realism includes what could possibly exist (but hasn't yet been 
actualised) in its range of legitimate objects of investigation.
