In Le Tres-Haut, Sorge tells his sister that they ought to have gone to the cinema. In L'arret de mort, the narrator says something to the effect of asking his readers not to look at photos (sc. of him) after he dies, though they do exist. People are fascinated with photos of Blanchot b/c he's refused almost any public appearance for over 50 years, and refused to be photographed (at least for public consumption). William Flesch
