Hey Giuseppina!  In addition to "la raie de mort,"
how about "L'art est de mort" (art is of/belongs to/
is about death)?  The reference is to Marie-Claire
Ropars-Wuilleumier, "Film Reader of the Text" in
_Diacritics_ , spring 1985, pp. 18-30 (originally
published in French as "Le Film lecteur du texte,"
_Hors cadre 1 (Presses et Publications de l'Universite
de Paris VII, Vincennes =E0 St. Denis, 1983).  Pity the
translator (Kimball Lockhart) who, after noting in a
footnote (p. 25) that "Arcachon" can be "art cache on,"
mistranslates this as "art one hides" whereas it should be
"art hides the impersonal one," then adds the kind of
translator's note all readers of Derrida are familiar
with: "this play on the embedding of the phonetic within
the graphics of the text's title initiates a series of un-
translatable puns around which the following analysis
will hinge."
