I think L'arret de mort has striking similarities to Le Bleu du ciel, but I
also think that the most misleading way of reading Blanchot is to think that
his ideas are implicit in or elaborations of Bataille.  Much as I love Bataille,he doesn't hold a candle to Blanchot, who is far more aptly compared to Kafka
and Proust.
