I've been searching for a rough biography of Blanchot. Can anyone
point me in the right direction, or provide one?

No biography of MB is currently available, though I dare say the most 
complete outline is the one that appears in the first chapter of my 
Blanchot: Extreme Contemporary (Routledge, forthcoming imminently).  
A biographical essay in French is currently underway, however, and 
will no doubt be published soon.
