There is also the excellent essay on Leiris in James Clifford's "The
Predicament of Culture", which talks about Leiris' "Phantom Africa", a book
long overdue it's english translation. I had heard that a translation was
in the works, that was 7 years ago; if anyone knows of any translated
fragments from this book or whether an English translation is in fact in
the works, please do tell.
