I'm afraid I've got to agree with the good doctor.  One can barely hear
oneself think on this list!  Where have all the Proper Hearings gone
anywho?  Really! the chaos around here is shameful!  Don't you know
Blanchot leaves no room whatsoever for self-indulgence!  He was the very
antithesis of self-promotion!  He played no games that I'm aware of (not
like Barthes or Duchamp at any rate).  You can also count me in as
someone who really wants to talk about his immense significance!  There
must be some place we can exchange more impressive pontifications
without having to bear the presence of Outside yammering!  But if we
must carry the torch of serious scholarship even through this crowd of
illegitimate caterwauling, somebody quick, detourne the momentum of this
jackanapes so we can get back to the serious business of 'writing the
(bloody) disaster'!
