Subject: MB: silence

To whom is concerned:

I will be the first to admit myself as being a cause of any alleged
"lull" in this list. I for one have been putting all my energy into
attempting to write literature that I have almost out of necessity had to
forget (or perhaps transcend) trying to figure out what literature is
about. As someone trying damn hard to make literature happen I would,
without a second's hesitation, trade one sentence of literature for any
amount of literary theory, my own or otherwise. Therefore I have
remained silent, not out of a lack of interest but out of a lack of
conviction. In the past there were times that I have felt the need to
talk about certain issues and I have found an extremely intelligent forum
to discuss things with. Certainly there were always cross conversations
which I found very easy to ignore especially considering the medium (I
can't be the only one who doesn't have to read EVERY part of EVERY
message I get, am I???) But I am only eighteen: much too young and
inexperienced to worry about literary theory and much too old to waste
time bickering about who to exclude from electric conversations.
