You are not the BB that responded to me on the Heidegger list are you? Ariosto "I am myself the matter of my book." Montaigne Myself, I am 34 years old and have droped in and out of university over the years. I understood in my own way what you wrote and I have no problems with anonymity. There is a hermetic reserve in Blanchot that i have a lot of sympathy for... Allow me to slide with the thoughts of the moment which were on Derrida's essay _Parages_ and touch base with the unavowable community thread. He writes that the notion of a _recit_ in Blanchot is a new thinking of the citation of the eternal return which "repeats the ultimate affirmation in the mode of fragmentation" (_Infinite Coversation_ p. 159) Pieces from the ruins of the I, disaster as ecstasy? This is a speech which renders repetition "parodic" because it "says repetition as an affirmation that is unidentifiable and unrepresentable, an affirmation impossible to recognize, and because it ruins repetition by giving it back, in the guise of a sort of indefinite murmur, to the silence that speech in turn ruins by giving silence to be heard as the speech that, from the most profound past, from the furthest future, has always already spoken as a speech ever yet to come." Fragmentary speech, barely speech--speech at the limit. In page 24 of _Parages_, the eternal ring releases an alliance without debt, a gift without credit. Ariosto --
