On Blanchot and cinema, beyond the primary references given by Kai (to
which a text on Duras in L'Amitie might be added), there are many
interesting pages in Raymond Bellour's L'Entre-Images 2 (POL 1999),
especially on Gary Hill's films inspired by certain texts of Blanchot. I
agree with Kai (thanks for the Blanchot letter reference!) that the
postcolonial is a perplexing topic to study in Blanchot, that is,
unlikely connections might be found. I am working on Orphic themes in
Soderbergh's Solaris, and there is a perplexing fit with Blanchot there
as well.
