Subject: information

Hi. I'm hoping someone on the list might have this information.

Does anyone know how I might contact Richard Nice, the English translator of
_Outline of a Theory of Practice_? Also, does anyone know what editorial
decisions were made in moving from _Equisse d'une theorie de la pratique_ to
the Cambridge English translation (which bears little resemblance to the
French text); for example, is there a "logic" or "rationale" behind the
print font changes in the English translation.

Finally, I'm putting together a reader on Gift and Exchange in contemporary
critical theory and I'm going to include something from Bourdieu. At this
point, I'm planning on reprinting the Introduction to Chapter I (Section I:
Analyses), pp. 1-9, and the discussions of "Symbolic Capital" and "Modes of
Domination" (pp. 171-197) from the Eng. trans. of _Outline_. I would be
happy to consider other selections if anyone could point me to an essay or
chapter where PB addresses gift and exchange, particularly in
response/reaction to the discussions of Mauss, Levi-Strauss, Bataille,
Sahlins, Derrida, Strathern or Weiner.

Thanks in advance for your help.
