  Richard,
 The Jenkins you are looking for is a "Richard Jenkins", he teaches 
sociology at the University of Swansea (U.K.?), however I am not sure 
which of his books discusses the feedback loop question.  He has a book 
dedicated to Bourdieu only, titled "Pierre Bourdieu"
