Subject: Introduction

Hello.

Like others I have been waiting for an opportunity to discuss Bourdieu on
the net. I am non-academic writer and got introduced to Bourdieu some ten
years ago. In my own non-academic way I have used some of his theories in a
book on the middle class in Sweden. I am specially interested in how the
middle class manage to reproduce their positions in education, culture, etc.
My last book was a likewise non-academic view on economics.
I am very interested in economic sociology (and economic
anthropology), which I think can explain much more of the economic life than
classical economics. But to my knowledge Bourdieu have done any great work
in that field (correct me if I am wrong). Yet.
For any kind advice on good studies of economic sociology (in the
spirit of Bourdieu) I would be very grateful.

Regards
