There's a list related to Lacan on which a variety of languages are
used including French and Spanish. I can read a little French (the
result of living in a supposed bilingual country) and I can barely
catch the gist of the Spanish posts. I wouldn't, however, want these
contributions to cease because they still have content and perspective that a solely English list
might not have.

I agree that this should not be a talk channel for "lonely students".
But the "multiplicity of discourse" is interesting.
