Subject: My Bourdieu Essay

I am a final year student at university and have just come across
Bourdieu's work for the first time. It interests me but I am struggling
somewhat in understanding him. I currently have two questions that I am
researching:

"Critical in the development of transactionalist theory was the concept
of strategy. Consider the view of practice held by transactionalists
and contrast this view of strategy with that developed and applied by
Bourdieu"

and

"With reference to The Rules of Art or The Field of Cultural Production"
show the significance of the concepts of habitus and field in Bourdieu's
analysis".

I have no idea where to start analysis of these questions and would
greatly appreciate the assistance of anyone out there. What, for
example, is the concept of strategy? Can anyone give me a starting
point?

thanks. Funding cutbacks mean there are no tutors and therefore I have
no access to anyone on my campus that can help so I'm searching the web
instead!
