Today I retrieved the full reference to Hoerner's dissertation.  I don't
know whether reproducing the abstract constitutes a copyright violation, so
I'm leaving it out for now.

There is no mention of Bourdieu in the abstract, but the work is much more
relevant to my interests than I would have gathered from the periodical
articles.  It looks very very interesting, and it also includes a treatment
of William Blake.

Now the question is, as dissertations are very hard to come by, is the
author planning to turn this into a book?
