I won't pick up on all the points raised, though I also found the post
interesting (and often disturbing - either tongue in cheek or immensely
self-deprecating).

I did want to Ask, though, whether there is anyone who knows much about
whether Bourdieu has talked about scientific or critical realism.  I know
Bridget Fowler mentions in an introduction to 'Understanding' that
Bourdieu is a critial realist, but I'm not sure whether this has been
discussed before on the list or in print.  

Personally, I think there are resonances with critical realism
(relationalism, for example) but they may part company in areas where
perhaps Bourdieu is unclear or ambivalent.
