For some such work check out the striking work of Fred Hoerner, late of the
U of Texas at Austin. Several of his articles derive from his remarkable
dissertation which makes active use of Bourdieu. I don't have that reference.

Here's what the MLA Biblio has in the ballpark you inquire about.

1. Hoerner, Fred. 'A Tiger in a Brake': The Stealth of Reason in the
Scholarship of Sir William Jones in India. Texas Studies in Literature &
Language. 37(2):215-32. 1995
Summer. Austin, TX.

 2. Hoerner, Fred. The Apocalypse of Privilege: Pope's Misrepresentation of
Richard Bentley in The Dunciad. University of Mississippi Studies in
English. 11-12:424-37.
1993-1995. University, MS.

3. Hoerner, Fred. Nostalgia's Freight in Wordsworth's Intimations Ode. ELH.
62(3):631-61. 1995 Fall. Baltimore, MD.

4. Hoerner, Fred. 'Fire to Use': A Practice-Theory Approach to Paradise
Lost. Representations. 51:94-117. 1995 Summer. Berkeley, CA.
