Date: Wed, 9 Dec 1998 05:37:17 -0500 Subject: studies in law making and field I cannot help directly - but I have given some thought to rules - the problem is that thinking of social action as rule related is to invoke the game: i.e. to see the social action as taking place and having effect within a discrete time, and effect, frame: which is to truncate the analysis and miss the point of the action. also - there may be something in identifyinf two fields - the mini-field of the action as wlel as te braod soial field of conflict more widely. Hope this helps. I am interested in where you have got to. Anthony Beck.
