Subject: RE: hysteresis

My partner, who is a scientist currently in the state of hysteresis as he
makes the transition from the academic to the corporate world, tells me
that:

"In physics and electronics, hysteresis is defined as a lag in the effect
on matter after a change in forces affecting it."

Best wishes,
elaine
