I think it is a perfect supplement to Derek Robbins' _The Work of Pierre Bourdieu_ where you can track the intellectual development, inner contradictions, mistakes and pathbreaking attempts of him. It is a supplement in the way that Swartz engages with Bourdieu under social-scientific topics, instead of biographically. For the new explorer of generative structuralism, I think the book would be a good point of entry.
