I add a number of my own humble appreciations on _Culture and Power_ and
pile them upon Karl's. 

I think it is a perfect supplement to Derek Robbins' _The Work of Pierre
Bourdieu_ where you can track the intellectual development, inner
contradictions, mistakes and pathbreaking attempts of him. It is a
supplement in the way that Swartz engages with Bourdieu under
social-scientific topics, instead of biographically. 

For the new explorer of generative structuralism, I think the book would
be a good point of entry. For the "native" -sorry for the analogy :)- it
raises a number of interesting criticisms along with appraisals.
