The founding father of neo-functionalism, it seems to me, is
"over-critical" of PB in that chapter (perhaps feeling that his whole
academic capital investment in the neo-functionalism debate has been
undermined by PB)... Nevertheless, there is one other interesting project
of reconstructing the agent-structure problematic (criticizing Bourdieu)
in Nicos Mouzelis, _Sociological Theory: What Went Wrong?_
