I appreciate your point Michele, but I believe that what is important 
about Bourdieu is that he is *constantly* applying his sociology of 
intellectuals to his own work. Whether his analyses are correct or not is 
always a question for further research and debate of course. But I 
believe he is one of the most self-critical intellectuals, always 
interogating his own position and trying to discover his own blindnesses 
and limitations.
