A while back someone asked about PB and Boudon.

I think there is considerable mutual antipathy between the two which may
have some small cause in their relatively close position within the
intellectual field.  I have not read enough Boudon, but whilst some of
what I've read I didn't really agree with, he is immensely useful
regarding change over time.
