hummmm elitism is a very powerful term that if you were to follow some basic 
Bourdieu ideas would not be thrown around so carelessly.  Does he require 
some sophistication in philosophy or work in reading yes, Does that serve 
the powers that be who control knowledge?  Of course not. they want 
PRODUCTION....suggest you read or reread B. critique of postmodernism and 
liberalism concerning good intentions
