Subject: Re: List Protocol

As an avid reviewer of events on this list, i have come to enjoy the flow of
discussion, debate and reflections that i have experienced. Recently, it seems
that we have misregognized an innocent query as a territorial challenge. Even
this exchange has provided an opportunity to study a form of human interaction
(on-line behavior) which obeys certain fundamental social laws.

Let me simply say that, when offended by what i deem to be rude or indolent
behavior, i believe it wise to give the other person the benefit of the doubt,
and to direct them kindly toward socially acceptable behavior which will assist
them in becoming an asset to our efforts.  This seems to work with my children;
perhaps it will work here as well.

Thank you for your concern. mgsmylie
