Dear Agnes
I think that the notion of homology has (at least) two meanings. First is related with sharing the same taken for granted illusions, then it would concern types of habitus (generated by the same principle of production). The second meaning (maybe more important) is related with positions equipted with special (in case of homology the same or almost the same) power to subordinate part of social space (in all meanings of that notion). Of course Bourdieu's theory is the theory of practice, homology between positions is not structural (in Levi-Strauss's sense) but rather struktural in the sense of Althusser - the structure doesn't work without substance, in the same way positions exist only when someone occupies it, thus habitus and position (and of course field) are related in social practice. I hope it would be useful.
