I have here the original French edition (third printing) in the "Que
Sais-je collection" of "Sociologie de l'Algérie". There is no preface by
Aron. So, is the Preface only in the English edition or has it disappeared
from the first (1958) to the third (1963) printing printing?

But the Robbins monography I know is "The work of Pierre Bourdieu"
published in 1991 and Alexander dates from 1995. So is there another
Robbins monography? By the way Alexander does not refer to Robbins....
