Subject: Movie in Paris on Pierre Bourdieu


Dear list members,

After all those Leibniz (yes, indeed Lynne, not Leibnitz!) fuss, the 
following may be more interesting for those of you who are planning to 
visit Paris this summer. There is a special film on Pierre Bourdieu, made 
by Pierre Carles in two cinemas in Paris. The title is "La Sociologie est 
un sport de combat" (Sociology is a fighting sport). I have not yet seen it 
myself, but I suppose it should  be a tribute to PB and have to do with his 
retreat as professor from the Collège de France, beginning this year.
