at the University of Erlangen/Nuernberg (Bavaria, Germany)

The Departments of Sociology, Political Sciences and American Literature invite young scholars (from graduate students to assistant professors) to participate in the 4th interdisciplinary, international (post)graduate conference at Erlangen University (Germany). 

Possible topics include, but are not limited to:

Deadline for paper proposals: 15th September, 2001 (other participants may register till November 20th). Please register on our online submission form (http://www.gradnet.de) 
Each panel will consist of three to five speakers and will last two to two and a half hours. Speaking time for each paper is approximately 12 minutes, which permits ample time for discussion after the delivery of the papers. Contributions of 3 to 10 pages from the delegates will be posted on our web page in order to facilitate discussion and scholarly exchange. The deadline for the submission of these short contributions is 15th October, 2001.  Email (Thomas Doerfler or Michael Fritz) proposals as well as short contributions to: 2001-AT-gradnet.de

Die Institute für Soziologie, Politische Wissenschaft und Amerikanistik der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg laden junge WissenschaftlerInnen (Studierende bis Habilitierende) zu einer interdisziplinären, internationalen Konferenz ein.

Anmeldefrist für Vortragende: 15. September 2001. (alle anderen Teilnehmer können sich bis kurz vor Beginn der Konferenz anmelden). Anmeldung über das online-Formular (http://www.gradnet.de). 
Die Vortragsmanuskripte sollen im Vorfeld der Konferenz auf der Webpage einsehbar sein, um Diskussion und Austausch zu erleichtern. Pro Sitzung (ca. 2 bis 2,5 Stunden) werden drei bis fünf ReferentInnen sprechen. Durch die Beschränkung der Vortragsdauer auf ca. 12 Minuten soll es viel Gelegenheit zur Diskussion geben. Frist für die Einsendung von drei- bis zehnseitigen Diskussionsmanuskripten (nur für die Webpage, nicht für den Tagungsband): 15. Oktober 2001. Sendet die Vorträge sowie die Diskussionsbeiträge an 2001-AT-gradnet.de (Thomas Dörfler oder Michael Fritz).
