I am doing now my doctorat in Information Science and I have chosen to study the toy as source of information , using our collection at the museum as a case. Pierre Bourdieu and its concepts of habitus, the formation of the cultural field, the museums' researches as "L'Amour de L'Art", the educational system's considerations are really very important to me. I never though that he would have something specifically about toys, but reading the "La Distinction - critique sociale du jugement" I discovered at 'L'habitus et l'espace des styles de vie" (pgs. 246-7) interesting considerations about the toys market and its role at the society. So, I would like to know if someone has seen at his work any other observation about this matter ... Thank you very much and it's really a pleasure to follow this list, Angela Cardoso Guedes ********************************************************************** Contributions: bourdieu-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu Commands: majordomo-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu Requests: bourdieu-approval-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu
