Subject: Downtime for the bourdieu list on Thursday, Sept 27


Dear All,

On Thursday, Sept 27, the "lists" machine at Virginia, which hosts this here
bourdieu list, is going to be moved to a new location.  Downtime is expected 
to be one business day -- with luck, the machine will be back online at 
the end of the day Thursday.  To minimize the amount of mail-bouncing that
the Virginia  system will have to handle while the "lists" machine is down,
kindly refrain from posting messages to the bourdieu list during Thursday.
